The pink trumpet flowers are currently in full bloom in Can Tho, attracting hundreds of visitors who come to admire the scenery and take beautiful photos from sunrise until late afternoon.
The famous pink trumpet flower road in the Mekong Delta is located on Hung Vuong Street, Phu Tam Commune, Can Tho (formerly Soc Trang Province). Stretching for more than one kilometer, the road becomes especially vibrant during the blooming season, drawing hundreds of visitors every day to visit and take photos.

The pink trumpet trees were first planted by the People’s Committee of Chau Thanh District in 2012 to improve the landscape, and more trees have been added over the years. Today, nearly 300 trees line both sides of the road along the sidewalks, each spaced about 5 meters apart. Every March, the blooming flowers create a striking tourism highlight for the area.
The pink trumpet flower, scientifically known as Tabebuia rosea, belongs to the Bignoniaceae family and originates from the Americas. The flowers resemble small bells with soft pink petals, blooming in clusters with delicate, thin petals.
Pink trumpet trees are woody plants that can reach up to 15 meters in height in ideal growing conditions, with an average trunk diameter of about 50 cm. The tree features a wide umbrella-shaped canopy with many branches. Its leaves are elongated oval-shaped, measuring 3–12 cm long, with smooth edges and a glossy upper surface.

Local residents say the flowers look their most beautiful for about two weeks after they begin to bloom. Normally, the peak blooming season occurs in April. However, due to hotter weather this year, the flowers started blooming earlier, around early to mid-March. The pink trumpet tree is often considered a symbol of sweetness, romance, and poetic love.
Since 2019, when the trees began blooming more prominently, the pink trumpet flower road has attracted increasing attention and gradually become well-known. Today, it is a favorite check-in spot for many young travelers during March.

According to Can Tho Travel, March is the time when “the pink trumpet flowers show off their beauty and visitors flock to Soc Trang.” As a result, the demand for tours to photograph the pink trumpet flowers and explore local attractions in Soc Trang increases three to four times compared to normal periods.
Can Tho Travel suggests that the best time to take photos is from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM, when the sunlight is soft and fresh, or during sunset from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Visitors should choose trees with dense blossoms and shoot from a lower angle to capture both the flowers and the sky as a backdrop.
Visitors can reach the pink trumpet flower road on Hung Vuong Street in Phu Tam Commune by car or motorbike from downtown Can Tho City, about 50 km away, which takes a little over an hour of travel. From Soc Trang City (former), visitors can follow National Highway 1A toward Chau Thanh District for about 10 km to reach the flower road.
Alternatively, visitors can book a package tour to the Pink Trumpet Flower Road combined with other attractions, designed and recommended by Can Tho Travel.
